These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Tentpole (“the Service”), provided by Artifact Video [legal entity] (“we,” “us,” “our”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your region) and able to form a binding contract to use the Service. If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you're authorized to accept these Terms for it.
You're responsible for your account, for keeping your credentials secure, and for activity under your account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use. Provide accurate information and keep it current.
You retain all ownership of the projects, text, images, and other materials you create or upload (“Your Content”). We do not claim ownership of Your Content. You grant us a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, store, process, transmit, and display Your Content solely to operate and provide the Service to you and the collaborators you authorize. You're responsible for Your Content and for having the rights to use it.
If you invite collaborators, you're responsible for what you share and for the access you grant. If you're invited to a project, you may access it only as permitted by its owner.
The Service offers optional AI features that generate a draft structure from research you submit. You must have the rights to any material you submit. AI output may be inaccurate or incomplete; it is provided “as is” and you're responsible for reviewing and editing it before relying on it. Material you submit is processed by our AI provider as described in the Privacy Policy.
You agree not to: (a) break the law or infringe others' rights; (b) upload malware or attempt to disrupt, probe, or gain unauthorized access to the Service or its infrastructure; (c) reverse engineer or misuse the Service except as permitted by law; (d) use the Service to store or share content you have no right to; or (e) abuse invitations, AI features, or other functionality (including excessive automated use).
The Service currently offers a free tier. Paid subscriptions may be offered in the future; when they are, applicable pricing, billing, renewal, and cancellation terms will be presented at purchase. Payments made through the Apple App Store are also subject to Apple's terms.
The Service relies on third-party providers (for example, hosting, authentication, AI processing, and email). Your use may also be subject to their terms. We're not responsible for third-party services.
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time (see Account & data deletion). We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or to protect the Service or other users. On termination, your right to use the Service ends; sections that by their nature should survive will survive.
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don't warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that any content or AI output will be accurate. Keep your own backups of important work.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Artifact Video will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim, or US$50.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Artifact Video from claims arising out of Your Content or your misuse of the Service or violation of these Terms, to the extent permitted by law.
We may update these Terms. If we make material changes, we'll update the effective date and, where appropriate, notify you. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of [state/country], without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and the courts located in [venue] will have exclusive jurisdiction, except where prohibited by applicable law.
